Federal court grants final approval to class action settlement HSPRD filed on behalf of juveniles who were strip searched at a local detention center.

In Smook v. Minnehaha County, a federal judge approved a class action settlement for monetary damages brought by HSPRD on behalf of all persons who were charged with minor or non-felony offenses from November 1, 1997 to December 31, 2003, and were strip searched fully naked at the Minnehaha County Juvenile Detention Center.
