On February 20, 2017, HSPRD’s Kalman Resnick spoke at this year’s NELA Seventh Circuit Conference. Mr. Resnick emphasized the significance of the recent attack on Muslim and undocumented immigrants for Employment Lawyers and educated the attendees on how they should respond to the current legal situation.

On February 18, 2017, HSPRD’s Kalman Resnick, Kendra Scheuerlein and Joshua Karsh were among the 1,200 supporters who attended CAIR-Chicago’s 13th Annual Banquet.

With the help of HSPRD’s Kalman Resnick, Sahar Algonaimi, a 58 year old teacher from Saudi Arabia and a citizen of Syria, entered the U.S. in Chicago on February 17, 2017 after flying in from Abu Dhabi.

On February 16, 2017, HSPRD’s Kalman Resnick, William Schiller and Caryn Lederer addressed Northwestern University community members at a panel discussion on the recent executive order banning travel and other actions taken by the Trump Administration affecting immigration policy.

On February 5, 2017, HSPRD’s Kalman Resnick spoke in front of over 2,000 attendees at the Islamic Foundation Mosque in Villa Park about the issues that are impacting the Muslim community today.

On February 2, 2017, former HSPRD attorney, Judge Mary Rowland was enthusiastically applauded at a swearing-in ceremony she conducted for new citizens in Chicago.
