Last week, three HSPRD attorneys took part in the 19th Annual ABA Labor and Employment Section Conference in Denver, Colorado. The conference serves as the Section’s signature event of the year and brings together labor and employment practitioners from across the country for advanced legal education and discussion.

Charlie Wysong served as the employee-side panelist for the program entitled “Issues in Investigating and Litigating Federal Whistleblower Claims,” which took place on Thursday, November 13. Charlie shared insight on current trends in whistleblower matters and explained strategic approaches for navigating these complex claims.

Elisabeth Mustoe served as the employee-side panelist for the session entitled “AI Tools for Workplace Investigations: Examining the Potential Upsides, Downsides and Legal Considerations,” also on Thursday, November 13. Lisa explained the evolving role of artificial intelligence in workplace investigations and outlined the key legal issues that practitioners must evaluate as these tools continue to develop.

Lori L. Deem serves as the Employee Co-Chair Emeritas for the Conference Planning Committee. Lori also serves as an Employee Council member for the ABA Labor and Employment Section. Lori plays a central role in shaping the conference experience each year and continues to support the Section through her leadership.
